Lost & Forged is Hiring for 2025 DC Holiday Market

Seasonal Sales Assistants | Downtown DC | Flexible Hours & Start Dates

Want to spend your holiday season in one of the most vibrant holiday markets in the USA — surrounded by handmade jewelry, lights, music, and a creative crowd? I’m looking for one or two energetic team members to help staff my Lost & Forged booth at the Downtown DC Holiday Market from November 21 – December 23, 2025 (with flexible start and end dates).

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and interact with customers, explain products

  • Help resize spoon rings to fit buyers

  • Process payments via provided mobile/digital tools

  • Open or close the booth

  • Assist in maintaining display, packaging, restocking

What I Provide

  • Paid, on-the-job training

  • All tools, materials, and payment systems

  • Competitive pay: $25/hr + sales commission

Who You Are

  • Reliable, punctual, and outgoing

  • Passionate about art, design, or handcrafted work

  • Comfortable wearing and demonstrating a variety of jewelry styles

  • Quick to learn digital payment tools

  • Willing to try some basic metalsmithing (no prior experience required)

Bonus traits (not strictly required): design sense, craft/arts experience, retail or customer service background, brings added perspective & diversity to our team

  • Location: Downtown Washington, DC

  • Work dates: November 21 – December 23 (flexible start/end)

  • Hours: Flexible schedule, market open from 12-8 PM daily

  • Transportation: Next to metro stop (Gallery Place/Chinatown Station, Red Line), limited parking availability

  • Weather & conditions: Outdoor market environment, occasional light physical work
